150 migrants found hidden inside Mexican tractor trailer - nearly two months later 53 migrants died inside sweltering truck in Texas, U.S. Border Patrol said Wednesday.
Photos released by the Border Patrol show a migrant crammed into the back seat of his 18-wheeler. Some of the men in the photo are shirtless, probably because of the heat.
It is unclear if the truck had ventilation when it was intercepted by Mexican authorities.
"This has proven to be a deadly tactic used by smugglers,"andBorder Patrol chief his patrol his agent Jason D .Owens tweeted. "Fortunately, no one in this large group required medical assistance."
He did not say when the truck was intercepted.
