(CNN)Two police officers were shot dead at a celebration on July 4th in Philadelphia. A law enforcement source who knows told CNN.
A Philadelphia highway patrol officer suffered a scratch on his head, and a deputy security officer in Montgomery County suffered a gunshot on his shoulder, sources said.
Both were taken to Jefferson University Hospital in a stable condition and evaluated in the emergency room, a hospital spokesman told CNN. The
incident social media video shows a large number of people running along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. According to the city's official website, the July 4th concert and fireworks festival was taking place at Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
It's unclear if police have arrested the person involved in the case, but Philadelphia police are trying to reunite with a loved one on the Parkway to meet at the free library in Philadelphia18} I advise people. Everyone else was asked to avoid the area.
