Three were charged in prison in 2018 for the murder of notorious gangster James “Whitey” Bulger, federal officials said Thursday.
Photios Geass, age 55. Paul J. Decologero, 48 years old. Sean McKinnon, 36, was charged Wednesday with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of West Virginia said in a statement.

Geas and DeCologero are suspected of killing Bulger by hitting him in the head multiple times, according to a statement.
Geas and DeCologero were also charged with first-degree murder and aiding assault that caused serious injury, the statement said.
McKinnon was also accused of making false statements to federal investigators, according to a statement.
Geas and DeCologero were incarcerated when indicted. McKinnon was detained by the FBI Jacksonville in Ocala, Florida, according to an FBI spokesperson. He had been on the run for 16 years when he was arrested in Santa Monica, Calif. He was sentenced to life in prison in his 2013.
