Helicopters reportedly crashed in West Virginia on Wednesday, killing six people.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Bell UH-1B helicopter crashed on Route 17 in Logan County around 5 pm, with six people on board. Rescuers responded to the scene.
Six people have died, Sonya Porter, Deputy Director of the Logan County Emergency Management Agency, told ABC News' affiliateWCHS. The cause of the
crash is unknown, but according to the county'sEmergency Management Agency, there was a severe thunderstorm warning at the time of the incident.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating the case.
