Crocodile attack in South Carolina kills one person

A person died after a crocodile dragged into a pond at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Policesaid on Friday. No victims have been identified.

The situation began when authorities answered the "water call" on Friday morning. When they arrived, investigators determined that the crocodile had grabbed the victim and dragged it into a nearby pond, Holly County Police said in a statement.

The victim's body was recovered from the pond.

The crocodile was euthanized following advice from biologists in the Wildlife Division of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the removal of the contracted crocodile. I did. Service, police said.

Incident is under investigation.

Last year, a crocodile attacked a woman on Hilton Head Island, hours away, and was seriously injured.I urged her neighbor to use her shovel to rescue her.
