Amelia Hamlin is done with her bleached brows — and brows in general, for that matter.
The model, 21, posted videos on her Instagram Stories Thursday that showed someone shaving off her eyebrows, teasing an upcoming photoshoot for Interview magazine in the process.
“Only 4 u @melzy917 & fashion of course,” she captioned the video, in which she works to calm her nerves before going under the razor.
Hamlin tagged Interview Editor-in-Chief Mel Ottenberg, who was recently responsible for Kim Kardashian’s internet-breaking cover that showed her baring her butt in a jockstrap (with bleached brows and hair to boot).
Hamlin later posted a series of photos from the bathtub, sans arches.
“Giving alien vibes,” one person commented. Another said, “stop making me want to shave my eyebrows.”
While most followers were supportive, a few who begged Hamlin to “get the brows back.”
Scott Disick’s ex has been rocking bleached brows on and off in recent months, and leaned into even more avant-garde looks during Paris Fashion Week, walking Balenciaga’s runway with faux face piercings and sporting a bald cap for Kanye West’s Yeezy show.
This summer, she joined forces with West’s ex Julia Fox, who also has bleached brows, for a sexy photoshoot during a wild night out together.
It seems that barely-there brows are all the rage right now; Kylie Jenner bleached hers during Paris Fashion Week, as did Bella Hadid and Nicola Peltz. Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are among the other stars who’ve test-driven the trend.
“In beauty, I think we are getting to a point of self-expression and blurring the lines of the standards of beauty,” makeup artist Alexx Mayo, who’s bleached Lizzo’s arches, told Page Six Style of the “daring” look in 2021.
“It’s a bold statement … When you soften such a dominant feature on the face, it really opens a new perspective.”
Perhaps more big names will follow Hamlin and Doja Cat’s lead and ditch their brows completely.
