Anthony Rapp, partner Ken Ithiphol welcome baby via surrogate

Anthony Rapp and Ken Ithiphol are parents!

The “Rent” star revealed via Instagram Monday that he and his longtime partner welcomed their first child together via surrogacy.

“Ken and I are thrilled to share that our family has grown! 💜🌟,” the 51-year-old captioned a snap of the pair holding their newborn in the hospital.

“Our son, Rai Larson Ithiphol, was brought into the world on Friday, December 2, 2022, by an incredibly generous surrogate, to whom we are eternally grateful.”

The actor clarified that their little one’s name is pronounced like “rye,” adding that they already “love him very much.”

The Broadway star and Ithiphol started dating in 2016 after the yoga instructor DM’d Rapp after seeing him perform in Los Angeles. Rapp popped the question three years later.

Then in 2020, the pair got engaged again when Ithiphol got down on one knee while the twosome were hiking at Boynton Canyon in Sedona, Ariz.

While it’s unclear whether or not the pair have already tied the knot, Ithiphol has “been an incredible sounding board” for the actor during his years-long sexual assault lawsuit with Kevin Spacey.

The new parents got engaged in 2019 and then again in 2020.

“His sense of responsibility and ethics informs everything in his life, and when I told him what I was going to do, he was immediate in his support,” Rapp told Startrek.com when reflecting on his decision to speak out just one year into the pair’s relationship.

Back in 2017, Rapp accused the “House of Cards” star of making a sexual advance toward him at a party in 1986 when he was 14 and Spacey was 26.

Ithiphol stood by Rapp’s side amidst his lawsuit with Kevin Spacey.

Three years later, Rapp and another man filed a lawsuit for $40 million under New York’s Child Victims Act, which sidesteps the statute of limitations and allows victims of childhood abuse to take legal action against their alleged abuser.

However, the “Rent” star lost the case in October and was ordered to pay the 63-year-old actor $39,000.
