(CNN)MysteriousGeorgia Memorial when an explosive device exploded near an attraction on Wednesday The monumentwas partially destroyed-and authorities are currently searching for the culprit.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the explosion occurred around 4 am in Elberton, about 100 miles east of Atlanta.
Authoritieshave released a videoof an explosion at an approximately 20-foot monumentknown as the Georgia Guidestone. It shows that most of the granite slabs have fallen apart and collapsed. No one was injured, officials said.
The second video shows a car leaving the site immediately after the explosion.
For safety reasons, the structure was "completely demolished"GBI said.
The four vertical slabs that dominate the guidestone are engraved with ten principles, each in a different modern language. Capstones are engraved in the alphabet of early human civilization-Egyptian hieroglyphs, Babylonian cuneiform, Sanskrit, classical Greek.
Since its construction in 1980, it is a mystery who paid for and created the monument.
