More on the best World Cup betting sites

Best World Cup betting sites Ranked

All of the sportsbooks offer fantastic markets and promotions for the World Cup, and our advice is to make the most of each and every new customer offer available. Given this is the first time bettors in the USA can wager on soccer’s greatest stage, take into account our rankings and explanations before choosing your World Cup betting site.

  1. BetMGM – Elite soccer markets
  2. Caesars Sportsbook – Fantastic bonuses and promotions
  3. FanDuel – Top of the range parlays
  4. BetRivers – Unique soccer wagers
  5. Barstool Sportsbook – Handsome new customer offer
  6. SI Sportsbook – Strong soccer odds

1. BetMGM

BetMGM is fully deserving of their place at the top of our list and is your go-to sports betting site for your World Cup. Is there a better betting site for the biggest sporting event in the world than the “King of Sportsbooks?”

Both the website and mobile application are extremely user-friendly and soccer bettors should encounter little resistance in attempting to find their preferred wagers. Additionally, BetMGM offers a plethora of soccer markets, allowing bettors to make more creative wagers.

For example, bettors can wager on both alternate goal-line spreads and totals, offering you the chance at higher payouts if you fancy taking on the alternate line.

Additionally, bettors have all the normal prop markets available: both teams to score, anytime goalscorer, correct score, and team totals, as well as the more recognizable soccer wagers.

Their World Cup futures markets were released very far in advance and are being regularly updated depending on the latest news and information.

Further, one of the aspects that separates BetMGM from some of the aforementioned sportsbooks is their offering of yellow and red card props for a specific match. This is a very important factor for the World Cup, as the games tend to be more intense and fiery, leading to more cards.

Additionally, BetMGM offers a single-game parlay feature, allowing bettors to combine outcomes from a single match into a parlay with potential higher payouts.

Overall, you’ll be more than satisfied with the soccer betting options available at BetMGM, and find yourself with a super World Cup betting experience.

2. Caesars Sportsbook

Live BettingNew Customer OfferSoccer Promos (/5)Soccer Market Depth (/5)App Available?
5/54/5

Caesars Sportsbook, a name derived from the famed Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, is an outstanding sportsbook for those interested in betting on the World Cup.

For all soccer games,  there are both the traditional markets available to bettors and a wide variety of prop markets.

At Caesars, bettors will be able to find all the normal soccer props, both teams to score, correct score and team totals, but also have plenty of other unique options.

As an example, bettors can place wagers on the outcome of the first 15 and 30 minutes of the match, as well as whether a team will come from behind to win.

Caesars Sportsbook, like BetMGM, offers bettors the ability to construct single-game parlays. However, the key difference between the two sportsbooks is that with Caesars, bettors can construct their single-game parlays farther in advance, giving them a slight edge in the SGP department compared to BetMGM.

Finally, both the website and mobile application for Caesars Sportsbook feature clean, user-friendly interfaces. Plus, unlike BetRivers, the Sportsbook and online casino offerings are housed under separate portals, providing further ease of use.

3. FanDuel

When it comes to soccer betting, FanDuel is really on the ball. Their year-round variety of soccer markets is fantastic, which shows promising signs ahead of the World Cup.

Furthermore, FanDuel Sportsbook offers a robust World Cup futures market and often will have some of the strongest odds of any betting site mentioned here.

Their mobile app features one of the most user-friendly interfaces, making their vast array of markets very easy to navigate, and allowing you to place your bets with ease.

Lastly, Fanduel offers single-game parlays for soccer as well, which can be constructed and bet on very far in advance.

Fanduel Sportsbook also does a great job getting lookahead lines out as soon as fixtures are announced, which is vital as fixtures are confirmed in the knockout stages of the World Cup.

4. BetRivers

Live BettingNew Customer OfferSoccer Promos (/5)Soccer Market Depth (/5)App Available?
5/54/5

BetRivers makes up for its relatively inferior soccer promotional offers by offering one of the most extensive betting menus for interested bettors. If you’re taking a deep dive into betting on the World Cup, this is the place you want to be.

Included in their library of soccer markets are some of the basic prop markets, both teams to score, correct score, double chance and goalscorer props,  but BetRivers also offers alternate goal-lines, totals and asian spreads/totals.

Whilst their new customer offer is perhaps not as generous as other soccer betting sites mentioned in this piece, they really do excel for the keen soccer bettors.

BetRivers also has a great live betting experience as it offers live options on virtually all the pre-game markets available to bettors. Further, BetRivers is great when it comes to posting lines as early as possible.

This is very important for those wishing to get their money down as early as possible, before any team news or injuries which can alter the odds.

We’re very impressed by BetRivers soccer betting options at the Post and would certainly recommend using them for your World Cup bets.

5. Barstool Sportsbook

Live BettingNew Customer OfferSoccer Promos (/5)Soccer Market Depth (/5)App Available?

One of the newer faces in the online sports betting world, Barstool Sportsbook is still a fantastic choice to place your soccer bets this winter.

Offering all of the markets regularly found at the best World Cup betting sites, there are also Asian handicap markets, three-way spreads, and double chance. Barstool Sportsbook mostly resembles a European sportsbook when it comes to soccer betting, meaning their attention to detail is fantastic.

Moreover, their new customer offer is superb and very generous, giving new customers a fantastic start to life.

The early reviews on the Barstool Sportsbook app have been strong, and there’s a lot to like. The Barstool sportsbook app is packed with exclusive daily odds boosts, custom offers, and promotions, as well as brand-new features designed to enhance your sports betting experience.

6. SI Sportsbook

Sports Illustrated Sportsbook has recently become one of the newest additions to the sports betting scene in the USA, but don’t be fooled; they are still a strong suitor for placing your World Cup bets.

A fresh and slick interface greets bettors upon arrival, with SI Sportsbook catering to all levels of betting caliber.

The newly launched operator boasts many of the user-friendly and in-demand features found on the 888 Sports platform, making it very easy to place your soccer bets.

Their soccer section outlines all games offered clearly and easily, as well as dividing up the section into competitions, making it easy to find the World Cup markets.

Their new customer offer is easy to claim and gets new users off to a fantastic start to life with SI Sportsbook. Ahead of the World Cup 2022, we’d recommend heading over to SI Sportsbook.

How we rank the best World Cup betting sites

Given the rapid growth of sports betting in the USA, there is no shortage of choices for a sportsbook to choose to place your World Cup bets. Each one has its own qualities, and it’s important for you to understand how we rank the best World Cup betting sites.

Sign-Up Offers

Perhaps one of the most important factors for us is the sign-up bonus available for new customers. Getting a great start to life at a new sportsbook is of the utmost importance and one of our key factors in rating them.

If this is your first time signing up to one of these sportsbooks, then you will be able to claim a handsome bonus to use on any of the World Cup games.

The most common types of sign-up offers are as follows:

  • Risk-Free Bets
  • Deposit-Match Bonus
  • Free Bets
  • Boosted Odds

Many of the welcome bonuses have requirements and conditions in order to claim the offer, so we take into consideration the lengths and difficulty of claiming them. Some of the aspects we look into were:

  • Does the bonus have large wagering requirements?
  • How long is the bonus active for?
  • What games can I use the bonus funds on?
  • Is everyone eligible to claim the bonus?
  • What is the maximum amount you can win with bonus funds?

If we are satisfied that a bonus answers all these questions, and the sign-up offer is a strong one, then that’s a major plus in our eyes.

Soccer Betting Quality

Given the World Cup is the biggest soccer event in the world, and perhaps even the biggest event in sports, it’s important to us that these betting sites have shown strong soccer betting qualities.

We’ve considered the strength of their soccer betting markets throughout the year, as well as any soccer-related bonuses and offers they offer on the biggest soccer leagues in the world.

It’s important to recognize that this is the first World Cup where bettors in the USA are able to wager on the World Cup online.

Therefore, we can’t analyze a previous FIFA World Cup, as online sports betting was not legalized in June 2018.

To overcome this, we looked at the general soccer betting range offered, as well as the choice of FIFA World Cup futures, to get an idea of which sportsbooks will offer the best World Cup markets this year.

Payment Methods

While it’s not always easy, generally, the best betting sites will accept a wider range of deposit and withdrawal options and are more trustworthy.

Each sportsbook will have a different preferred method, so it was important for us to check which offers the most variety. In this case, the more payment options offered, the better, as this means more players will be able to enjoy the benefits of the betting site.

Speed of transaction was also taken into consideration, as the best betting sites will allow you to deposit or withdraw your money within minutes.

Mobile App

Nowadays, one of the best and most popular ways to bet on sports is on your mobile phone. This means downloading a mobile sportsbook and playing where and whenever you want. All of the World Cup betting sites in this piece have mobile apps, but we tested them so you don’t have to.

In our eyes, the mobile experience needs to be as similar to the desktop site as possible, meaning you get the full World Cup betting experience on your mobile.

World Cup 2022: The Schedule

The quarterfinals are set to begin, and there are some global powers that you find are missing. 2014 World Cup champion Germany failed to make it out of the group stage, and Spain, the 2010 World Cup champions, was upset by Morroco in the Round of 16.

The favorite to win this year’s World Cup, Brazil will get the quarterfinals started against 2018 runner-up Croatia. The Brazilians are heavy favorites to advance, as they looked in prime form in their last match.

Then we have a heavyweight battle. Lionel Messi and Argentina will take on the Netherlands, who, despite their age, has looked excellent thus far.

On Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal will look to end the cinder Ella story of Morocco. Portugal is a massive favorite to do so.

Then last but certainly not least, the defending World Cup champions, France, will take on England. This is the best matchup of the tournament to date.

How we chose a World Cup Betting Site

  • Live Betting  – In-play wagering on every game
  • World Cup Promotions – Tailor-made soccer bonuses
  • Soccer Markets  – Huge variety of soccer bets
  • New Customer Offer  – Generous sign-up promotions

Live Betting

Another factor to consider when choosing a sportsbook is whether that operator offers live soccer betting.

In some states, it’s not easy to find live betting options for soccer (think Nevada), but a lot of the aforementioned books do offer live betting options.

Plus, depending on which book you choose, bettors can find live betting options for ALL pre-game markets and aren’t limited to sides and totals.

For example, Fanduel Sportsbook offers live betting on both teams to score, the next team to score, and anytime goal scorer props.

World Cup Promotions

The best World Cup betting sites will offer specific promotions tailored to the tournament, as well as giving you fantastic sign-up bonuses, which you can use on the World Cup.

The best sportsbooks will offer promotions on the biggest games, and we expect to see tailored promotions for each of the USA’s group-stage games from the best soccer betting sites.

Be sure to check out for any promotions and offers during the World Cup, as they are certainly worth taking advantage of.

Soccer Markets

Not all sportsbooks excel in their soccer markets, so it’s important to choose a World Cup betting site that has adequate soccer betting markets.

All of the betting sites mentioned in this piece will offer the three main markets for betting on soccer, the 3-way moneyline, the goal line, and over/under markets.

However, if you’re looking to go deeper with your FIFA World Cup bets, then you’ll be needing a soccer betting site that has strong prop markets, such as cards and corners.

Some sites will also offer the same game parlay feature on World Cup matches, which will only be offered at the best sports betting sites such as FanDuel and BetMGM.

New Customer Offers

Welcome offers and free bets are available at all of the best World Cup betting sites. These offers are always worth taking advantage of, especially if they are specifically tailored to the FIFA World Cup. Each sportsbook will boast a different offer.

While often beneficial, we advise you to read the terms and conditions before claiming these offers, as there can often be wagering requirements, as well as terms and conditions which can catch you out.

World Cup Sign-Up Offers Explained

Uruguay's Darwin Nunez

One of the most important factors to consider when choosing between sports betting sites is the new customer offer available.

Newcomers can often have difficulty understanding the various bonus offers available, so we’re here to make life easier for you and explain some of the most common sign-up offers.

As with all sign-up offers, it is vital you remember to read through all of the terms and conditions of an offer before signing up to ensure you know exactly how they work before taking advantage of them.

Enhanced Odds/Odds Boosts

Enhanced odds are a common form of sign-up offer that is used by a wide range of online sportsbooks, with the idea of this offer allowing you to get increased odds on a bet that’s been pre-selected by the sportsbook.

For example, FanDuel offered new customers enhanced odds of 30-1 for either team to win Super Bowl 56.

These offers are often capped at a certain wager amount, with FanDuel’s Super Bowl offer having a maximum bet of $5. However, returning $150 should you have backed the Rams: that’s not a bad welcome bonus.

We would love to see a similar offer for the World Cup, whether that may be for a USA game or perhaps even the final. Currently, no such offer exists, but be sure to keep an eye out.

Free Bets

Free bets are one of the sign-up offers you’re likely to come across the most, with soccer betting sites often using them to try and convince people to use their services to bet with.

Simply put, free bets allow you to place a bet on any market of your choice or pre-selected markets depending on which sportsbook you decide to use, without the risk of losing any money should your bet not be a winner.

Free bets are always great, as they allow you to place riskier bets with higher odds without facing the risk of losing any money should your bet end up not winning.

Please note some free bet bonuses will have wagering and minimum odds requirements, so it’s important to read the terms and conditions of these offers before placing any bets.

Risk-Free World Cup Bets

Similar to free bets, risk-free bets are another very common sign-up offer available. Simply put, a risk-free bet is where your sportsbook refunds your first bet with them should this bet end up losing, with your stake returned to you either as a free bet or straight-up cash.

If you like the look of the USA beating Wales or think England will go all the way, some sportsbooks will allow you to place this bet risk-free.

If your bet wins, you will be paid out your winnings, but if it loses, you’ll receive your stake back in the form of free bets.

Deposit Match Bonus

Deposit-match bonuses are also very common and perhaps one of the easiest sign-up bonuses to understand. In short, a deposit-match bonus is where the sportsbook matches the initial deposit you’ve made into your new account up to a certain amount.

It is important to keep in mind that all sportsbooks will set a maximum amount that they are allowed to give you when it comes to their deposit-match bonus offer.

We at the Post think these types of offers are brilliant, as they allow you to bet with a lot more money than you originally deposited into your account.
