Myles Garrett, the star defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, was involved in a single-car accident after leaving the practice facility on Monday and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the team confirmed to multiple outlets. He was taken to a local hospital, according to ESPN.
Ohio State Highway Patrol told News 5 in Cleveland that the 26-year-old Garrett crashed his 2021 Porsche in Wadsworth, Ohio and there was a female passenger in the vehicle who also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both Garrett and the passenger were wearing seatbelts, according to the report, and Garrett’s injuries were described as “minor.”
The crash happened around 3 p.m. and the Porsche “flipped several times” after going off the side of the road, officials told News 5.
Garrett, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 draft, is a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All Pro. He has three sacks in the Browns’ first three games.
