Chicago police officer injured after driver crashes into cruiser at red light: Report

Twopolice officers in Chicagowere reportedly injured after the driver blew off the red light and collided with a squadron. 

The incident occurred around 11:50 pm. According to the Chicago Sun Times, Wednesday in the Calmet Heights district of the city. 

Police told the newspaper that the driver to the south passed the red light and crashed into the passenger side of thepolice vehicle.

The Chicago police officers wounded in the incident are reported to be in good condition.

The officers were then taken to the hospital and listed in good condition.
