Dan Levy cast in 'Sex Education' for first major TV role since 'Sitt's Creek'

Dan Levy has joined the cast of "Sex Education" for the upcoming fourth season.

Netflix revealed on Friday that the 39-year-old actor will play author and tutor Thomas Molloy in the popular British comedy-drama.

The "Degrassi" alum character mentors Maeve (Emma Mackey) in her college elite course show, US Cavendish Sixth Form.

Levy shared a still from the set on Instagram, calling his new role "very serious news."

The screenwriter's sister, Sara Levy, commented on the video uploaded to her media with multiple applause emojis.

This new role is the result of Dunn saying, "Sit he's also on the show." and played David Rose for six seasons until the Emmy Award-winning show's April 2020 finale. I cried,”told GQ in an interview in November 2019.

"It was really hard," Dan said. He called the final day the most "emotional" of his life.

"I had a splitting headache and didn't know what to do with my life," he added at the time. "I cried when I took David's shoes off. I will never wear those shoes again, and I don't want to wear them again, but I was very sad to take them off."

Since the final episode of "Sitt's Creek" aired, Dunn has been on "Happiest Season" and "Coastal Elites."

The comedian also hosted "Saturday Night Live" in February 2021.
