On Wednesday, the decomposing body of a 75-year-old man was found in a Brooklyn home containing a possible biohazardous substance and a weapon of mass destruction circuit. A drawing was included, police and sources said.
Authorities made a horrifying discovery during a welfare check just before 1:00 pm. At his 101 Avenue in Cypress Hills, police said.
Sources said the man had been dead for at least a week. A coroner will determine the cause of death, police said.
Authorities are also investigating suspicious materials found in the home, including canisters labeled biohazard and illustrations of weapons of mass destruction, police sources said.
The NYPD said it was investigating the effectiveness of the contents found in the home.
Sources said the block was closed and on Wednesday he also had the FBI on the scene.
Police have yet to identify the body pending notification to the family.
