Donald "Cowboy" Serone retires from UFC: "I don't love it anymore"

The UFC's resident cowboy is hung up.

After 55 battles in MMA and the second-most victories in UFC history (23), UFC legend Donald "Cowboy" Serone decided to retire.

Serone, 39, has fought the best players UFC had to offer, including Conor McGregor, Rafaeldos Anjos, Justin Gaethje, Leon Edwards, and Jorge Masvidal. ..

Denver natives really struggled as a fighter. He ends his career with six defeats and seven no contest wins in a row. Five of those losses were due to knockouts or submissions. He finished his career 36-17 in two no contests.

Serone put his cowboy hat and his gloves in the middle of the octagon just before the post-combat interview with Joe Rogan.

"I don't love it anymore, Joe," said Serone. "It's hard for me to get up .... I don't like it anymore. I'll be a movie star, baby."

Sellone has recently been acting. According to hisIMDB page,he starred in the new horror movie "Apartment 213" scheduled for later this year, and played a small role in "The Equalizer 2" and Amazon Prime's "Copshop."

Serone has finished a career that has never won the UFC title. Since 2014-16, he has fought 12 times, 11 to 1 in that span, and one defeat was the UFC lightweight championship with Rafaeldos Anjos. Serone has retired in the 16th UFC finish, the second most in UFC history.

Selone left the octagon with two children, a 4-year-old Daxon Danger and a 1-year-old Riot River.
