Giant legend Eli Manning erupted about his nephew taking the next step in his football career.
Eli's nephew, Arch, is part of the family of Manning's quarterback generation.
A five-star new employeecommitted to the University of Texason Thursday and, after the announcement, sent enthusiasm throughout the world of college football.
"He just wants to play football," Eli told theNFL Networkon Friday. "He wants to be a great teammate."
Besides Eli, Peyton Manning is his uncle at Arch. It's also worth mentioning that his dad and Manning's eldest brother, Cooper, were top-ranked quarterbacks in college before his career was shortened with the diagnosis of spinal stenosis.
As the next manning quarterback, Eli said on Friday that he was proud of his nephew.
Two-time Super Bowl champions also said he had considered himself a long horn the day before he reached Oremis.
"I'm excited about him going. To Texas," Eli said. "It's a great college and a great history of football. It's fun to get off in Austin a few times."
