Fan jumps from stands in desperate attempt to catch Aaron Judge’s 62nd home run

One fan went all out for Aaron Judge’s 62nd home run ball — and still appeared to come up empty.

Video of Judge’s 62nd home run at Globe Life Park show a fan jumping over the railing in an attempt to retrieve it. However, the ball ended up well wide of the desperate spectator. A different fan was able to catch the ball fairly easily with his glove. The ball could be worth millions depending on how the fan decides to handle the precious commodity.

A Blue Jays fan in Toronto named Frankie Lasagna went viral last week for allowing Judge’s 61st home run to slip underneath his glove.

That ball ended up in the bullpen and out of any fans’ grasp and the Yankees were able to retrieve it without issue.

Judge’s home run came a week after home run 61 and with just two games remaining in the Yankees season as doubts were growing he would pass Roger Maris’ mark. Judge’s frustration was evident in the first game of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Rangers as he slammed his helmet after popping out in one at-bat.

Everything to know about Aaron Judge and his chase for the home run record:

But it didn’t take long for Judge to hit No. 62 in Game 161. Judge led off the game with a towering blast to left field off of Rangers righty Jesus Tinoco.

Judge had one more at-bat before Yankees manager Aaron Boone pulled him from the game in the bottom of the second inning.
