Tyler Adams, 50, was detained in Mexico earlier this month and was cross-examined for the disappearance of his girlfriend Raquel Sabine. However, the FBI said he left Mexico and entered the United States on June 16 from the port of entry to San Ysidro in San Diego, California. He is alleged to have used the pseudonym "Aron Baynes" and has a history of using aliases such as his pseudonym and stolen identity.

Investigators first detained Adams in connection with the Amber Alert associated with the disappearance of ainfant. The girl was reported missing on June 10, but she was later found to be safe in Mexico.
