Rhodes was also charged with aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter.
According to Local 10, said an agent was sent to a motel last month following reports of a child being injured and dropping his head in the bathroom.
They found 22-year-old Larry Rose holding an unconscious boy with severely swollen eyes and no pulse.
The boy was taken to a local hospital and determined to be suffering from a massive cerebral hemorrhage. He finally succumbed to injury this week.
Deputies also found five of his children at the scene showing signs of physical abuse, including burns, scars, bloodshot eyes, bleeding, and extensive bruising. According to police, their ages ranged from infants to six years old.
Rhodes and Blaise were arrested on child abuse charges.
In interviews, they told police that the children had been injured while fighting with each other.
