Fresco By Scotto sisters publish cookbook with side of celebrity dish

Sisters Rosanna and Elaina Scotto are dishing up a new cookbook from their family eatery, Fresco by Scotto, that also serves a side of celebrity anecdotes.

Their NYC power-dining spot has been popular in its nearly 30-year run with diners from Jennifer Aniston and Leo DiCaprio to George Steinbrenner and Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Meatballs, Mangia & Memories” includes recipes for signature dishes such as baked ricotta dip, Parmesan-crusted mashed potatoes and “Sunday sauce.”

But the book also has anecdotes on Sylvester Stallone, Barbra Streisand, Bill Clinton and many more.

Elaina is a former p.r. exec, while Rosanna hosts Fox 5’s “Good Day New York.”

Not all their celebrity interactions have been smash successes.

When the sisters were in Italy once, they recall in the tome, “we decided it would be hilarious to record ourselves delivering a pizza to [George Clooney’s] front door [in Lake Como] so we chartered a boat and set sail.” Unfortunately, the escapade ended in disappointment when they saw the guards around Clooney’s property and had to admit to their captain that they didn’t know him.

They also recall the time when Chris Rock met Kevin Hart at the restaurant shortly after his infamous Oscars slap from Will Smith.

Fresco By Scotto is also known as a meeting place for political power brokers. Last year, Mayor Eric Adams was seen at the power restaurant, dancing outside with a group of people to the song “Native New Yorker,” by Odyssey.

We’d also reported that former Donald Trump consiglieres Michael Cohen and Rudy Giuliani had “an awkward run-in” at the eatery earlier this year, and that the place has been a favorite haunt for political players including Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Chris Christie, George Pataki, billionaire donor Ken Langone, Benjamin Netanyahu and the late John McCain.
