Giants' Daniel Jones reveals he underwent neck surgery during offseason

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones revealed Thursday that he underwent "non-football-related surgery" on his neck early in the offseason.

After last week's game with the Patriots, photos of Jones with a scar at the base of his neck began circulating on his social media. A scar can be seen under the Adam's apple where the thyroid gland is located.

Jones played his final six games last season to an unspecified Missed due to a neck injury. He had his first hit since when he played his two series in the preseason opener against the Patriots.

"Everything was good," Jones said of his mood in the morning after playing. "There were no problems."
