Melancholy New York The weather on the weekend of July 4th should improve in time for the fireworks

After a cloudy, hot and humid start on the Independence Anniversary weekend, the New York area could be flooded at the end of Saturday, but the rest Clouds are expected to leave for the holidays.

Saturday is likely to be the hottest day of the weekend, approaching 90 in the city. The temperature had reached the mid-1980s by noon, but the humidity felt like 95 degrees.

Storms help relieve the heat.

"There could have been a shower or thunderstorm in the area this afternoon," said Fox News quasi-meteorologist Christopher Tate. "I wouldn't be surprised if some of them get worse."

The storm is expected to pass after 4 pm and sporadic showers will continue until early morning. According to the Storm Forecast Center, there is a high probability that damaging winds will occur even in the tri-state area.

"You can now see the showers scattered around. More and more three, four, and another round comes at dinner, "said Foxweather meteorologist Samantha Thomas. "Then when we went all night, I said I could see the third round coming around midnight."

Throughout the tri-state area, these three rounds lined up. I will, "she added. "Even tomorrow morning, there could be a storm on Sunday before everything cleared up."
