‘GMA’ Weatherman Rob Marciano Banned From Times Square Studio After Making Colleagues “Uncomfortable”: Report

Good Morning America weatherman Rob Marciano has reportedly been “banned” from the Times Square Studios where the show routinely shoots after an alleged pattern of unacceptable behavior.

An insider told Page Six, “He was found to have done something … that was improper, but he was punished for it, and they still haven’t let him return.”

It has been alleged that Marciano has been dealing with anger management issues while splitting with his wife, Eryn, with whom he shares two children.

Marciano joined ABC News as a meteorologist in 2014 and currently works at GMA as a weekend reporter, as well as World News Tonight. His reporting often takes him to locations onsite, however he has now been absent from studio broadcasts for an extended period of time.

Making the situation even more complicated, it was announced March 2 that Somara Theodore was joining the ABC weather team for weekends, leaving fans concerned about Marciano’s standing with the network.

A second Page Six source alleged that Marciano made his colleagues “feel uncomfortable” through “a number of alarming events.”

After an alleged incident with a female colleague, Marciano was taken off air for a month, and now, months later, GMA executive producer Simon Swink — described as “no-nonsense” and “very serious” by a Page Six source, — reportedly “still won’t allow him back in [the studio].”

The second source added, “There were times when [Marciano] was very cranky and angry … unsavory behavior on his part. He was pulled off to deal with it and he’s been back.”

Similar to the network’s handling of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ affair, which caused them to be booted from the lunchtime talk show GMA3, another Page Six source claimed that the decision is “based first and foremost on protecting the culture and enabling our people to focus on the work of news-gathering — free of distraction.”

The first source stated that Swink is being “extra cautious” despite Marciano wanting his old job back.
