I potty-trained my kids in 3 days — here’s my secret

Let’s get this potty started!

A mom of three has made the remarkable claim that she potty trained each of her toddlers in just three days — and she’s sharing her tricks with the world.

Hollin Parkinson — who also happens to be Mrs. Idaho 2022 — discussed her method in a video on TikTok that has already reached 1.9 million views.

She began the clip by lamenting that she “cannot stand” changing diapers after the baby’s first year, fearing they’ll grow attached to having mom take care of it.

“You have to be mentally prepared to lock down and potty train your child,” Parkinson explained.

“You need to make the decision without a plan B that you will not have diapers as a back-up plan, and you will be in your house on lockdown for three whole days,” she reiterated.

She prepares for the potty training period by buying all different kinds of juices and foods with heavy fiber content to keep the kids regular, so to speak. Then, she waits — but not for long.

This period requires undivided attention, Parkinson warned: “I mean, you’re not even looking at your phone. With all three of my children, my phone was on the counter, I was involved with them on the floor doing puzzles, playing with cars, they were not out of my sight and nothing was in my hands so I could be accessible to them.”

After three days of the kids guzzling gut-friendly foods as mom stood by for every hint of go-time, Parkinson claimed she was successful in her potty training endeavors.

In an email to The Post, she revealed that the potty training tips came “collectively from awesome parents” who tried these tricks before her. “I put it to the test myself with an accumulation of their and my own experience!”

She said it was really important to have no distractions for three entire days while you work on this with your children.

In a follow-up video, Parkinson elaborated on the kids’ cues telling her they needed to potty, such as slipping off their diapers at nap time.

Positive reinforcement was key. She advised talking openly about the bathroom with your children, taking them shopping for fun underwear and rewarding them for success.

“Listen this just saved my life and made the most sense ever!! My four-year-old and I will thank you in a few days❤️❤️❤️” one user commented.

Another agreed, typing, “I did with my children and three of my nieces and nephews so easy!! My son was a year and my daughter was almost a year old.”

She also advised to get all different kinds of juices for your kids.

Unfortunately, the lockdown-style timeline may not work for all parents, as some viewers pointed out.

“What about when I’m a single mom who works every day and can’t be home for 3 days/sitters aren’t keen on helping, changing diapers is easier for them,” wrote one critic.

Seconded another, “I wish this was realistic for a full time work from home mom. I can’t spot and watch my son all day because I have a demanding job…😭.”
