Italian officials say at least six people died on Sunday after a glacial collapse and an avalanche in the northern Alps of Italy.
According to the BBC, eight other people were injured during the avalanche, two of whom were seriously injured.
Helicopters and ambulances have been sent to the site of the collapse.
"Unfortunately, five people were found dead," emergency services spokesman Michela Canobal told AFP, "the number remains tentative." ".

According to the emergency service in the collapsed area, a group of 15 people were hiking.
The cause of the collapse is not yet known, butrescue team spokesperson, Walter Milano, said the area of the collapse has recently become hot.
