James McCann was hoping to join the Miami team again

The lineup is once again complete as Mets is waiting for news about another potential hit to the pitching staff.

Catcher James McCann is expected to join the Miami Metsand be activated in time for the start of the weekend series against the Marlins on Friday.

McCann last played in the Big League on May 10 before undergoing surgery to repair his left wrist fracture. He hits .196 with an on-base percentage of .266 this season and hits one home run with 56 at bats. He spent most of the week on rehab missions at Double-A Binghamton, where he captured the start of Max Scherzer's rehab.

Mets uses catchers Tomas Nido and Patrick Mazeika instead of McCann, hitting .219 and .167, respectively.

Scherzer is approaching his return, just as the Mets are waiting for news about Carlos Carrasco's status. Carasco left the start on Wednesday backtight, but downplayed his potential seriousness towards Thursday's holiday. In addition to Scherzer, the Mets no longer have starters Jacob DeGrom and Tylor Megill.
