January 6: Committee: Thursday Hearing Investigates Trump's Pressure Campaign Against DOJ

The selection committee's fifth hearing on January 6 will address former President Donald Trump'sefforts to use the Justice Ministry to overturn the 2020 election results. The focus will be on.

We plan to hold additional hearings in the coming weeks following tomorrow's hearings. The dates and times for these hearings will be announced shortly, "said the aide.

At two hearings last week, Trump tried to put pressure on former Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the results of the Electoral College. The focus was on the role of lawyer John Eastman and others. Other hearings featured testimony from aides and lawyers in the Trump 2020 campaign, stating that the president ignored election day advice and promoted an unfactual fraud plot.

At the first hearing on June 9th at prime time, lawmakers focused on Trump's role in instigating the mob who attacked the Capitol.
