1974-Became a priesthood at the St. Francis Desale Association (Salesians of Don Boscow) in the Dominican Republic.
1983- Ordained and assigned to San Jean Bosco, a poor parish near Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
September 11, 1988-The Parish Church of St. Jean Bosco was attacked during the morning mass, killing 13 people and injuring more than 70.
December 15, 1988-Aristide was banished from the St. Francis de Sales Association for his "incitement to hatred and violence."
December 16, 1990-was elected President of Haiti with more than 67% of the votes cast.
February 7, 1991-Oath of office as the 40th President of Haiti.
October 15, 1994-After a US-mediated agreement, he returned to Haiti's president. Sedras and his staff will resign and be banished.
