Jenna Lyons gets stuck in her latex bodysuit: ‘My worst nightmare’

Jenna Lyons is already in a bind.

The former J.Crew executive-turned-“Real Housewives of New York City” star looked chic in a black latex turtleneck for a night out on Thursday, but returned home to a fashion emergency.

“I went to an event tonight and my friend Sarah zipped up my latex bodysuit, but I got out of the cab and I didn’t ask her for help unzipping me, and now I can’t get out of it,” Lyons, 54, said between laughs, exasperated sighs and the telltale squeak of rubber against rubber in an Instagram video.

After attending the American Museum of Natural History’s 2022 Museum Gala — where she paired the turtleneck with high-waisted black trousers — she said, “I literally can’t reach. I can’t believe this is happening,” as she attempted to stretch her arms behind her back to grasp the zipper on her own.

When the task seemed impossible to complete solo, she began to panic.

“I can’t sleep in this. Oh s—t, what am I gonna do? This is no joke. I am stuck in a vinyl bodysuit.”

Friends and fans flocked to the comments to sympathize with the “single woman living alone” struggle, suggesting she “phone a friend,” ask a neighbor for help, use a hanger for extra reach or even place peanut butter on the zipper in an attempt to train a dog to help.

Christina Ricci chimed in, “Do you have a doorman? I’ve had to ask doormen for help.”

Luckily for worried fans, the resourceful fashionista somehow managed to escape on her own. “I did it! I’m so proud of myself,” she said in an exhausted yet exuberant follow-up video.

The friend in question, stylist Sarah Clary, posted a slew of photos from her night out with Lyons, blissfully unaware of the struggle her pal would face at the end of the night.

“She had no idea during that time she would be struggling with her latex shirt,” one person commented on Clary’s post.

“I zipped you up and oiled your latex. Now I have to unzip you?! This friendship is hard work …,” Clary joked in her Instagram Story.

Indeed, wearing latex is no joke. London-based latex designer Atsuko Kudo told Page Six Style back in 2018 that slipping into the stuff poses unique challenges.

“You should never rush dressing in latex,” Kudo said.

“It’s like a little ritual. And there is a reward!” she added, recommending the use of silicone-based lubricant to slip in and out of latex garments.

Perhaps Lyons should invest in some lube before the much-anticipated Season 14 of “RHONY” kicks off.
