Jeremy Ruckert tries to catch up at Jets' first training camp

Jeremy Ruckert didn't even try to process the ticket request. Lindenhurst native could have gotten them from nearly every corner of his upbringing if he had tried to do it himself. But after missing the OTAs and injuring his leg early in his training camp, adjusting to the Jets is enough work.

"I told everyone, 'You do it yourself,'" Ruckert said after Tuesday's practice. "I don't want to deal with it. I'm not sure what to do."

Now that means learning everything I could when my rookie season started and catching up on what I missed out on because of my injury. To do. "He's swimming a little." Coach Robert Saleh said. "Obviously there's a lot of information coming in. He's missed all the OTAs, half of training camp. He's in the middle of training camp.

"His moves, his workouts. I love the ability.He's everything we thought he was.Now it's just a matter of him keeping up with the playbook."

Mr. Ruckert of Ohio State said the injury He said it was his first time. He tried to make the most of it — taking mental reps, observing closely, asking questions, learning as much as he could... But being in the field is of course different.

"I think he understands the playbook very well," he said. "I get it, I don't think about it much anymore. Obviously there's new stuff here and there, but I feel like I'm in a good place. Now I just play."

Saleh said he has no new worries about sending Zach Wilson against the Eagles in light of Mekhi Becton's injury.
