Juan Soto waits for MRI results and ends Nationals loss with calf injury

Washington star outfielder Juan Soto has finished Sunday's defeat with the Miami Marlins due to a left calf injury, the Nationals have announced. He had an MRI after the match.

After throwing from the outfield, the outfield seems to have been injured three times pointing at the calf. Soto participated in the 4th inning.

"We will reassess him and see what's going on," manager Dave Martinez told reporters after the match.

Soto is hot these days before being injured. The outfielder hit eight games in a row before walking twice on Sunday.

The lack of Soto's presence does not help Washington either. The Nationals are currently the last to die in the NL East with a record of 29-52.

"Oh, yeah, obviously scary," said Nationals first baseman Josh Bell. "The fingers crossed, it's nothing, it takes too long. I see. I know he'll probably get the results back here soon. We all breathe for him. I know I'm stopping. I think I know the time. "
