"Durant had Kyrie Irving's back all this time," Perkins said. "Irving is a man who doesn't know what he's thinking, doesn't know what he's trying to do, and it's no exaggeration to say that he's unreliable. And KD finally comes out and makes his own decision. I'm very happy because I had the courage to say, "What do you know, I don't need this."

Thursday's play questioned Durrants' loyalty for the first time. After spending the first eight seasons of his career at Oklahoma City Thunder, the 6-foot-10 forward fled to join the Golden State Warriors. This is a move that many critics have called a traitor. However, Durant does not agree.

"There is no such thing as [loyalty]," Durant said in an interview with the 2017Bleacher Report. "You see disloyalty in different ways, which is one of the most underrated parts of the game. We shout loyalty, but expect it from those who write checks. I haven't. "

Since then, Durrants' attitude towards loyalty does not seem to have changed.
