Charlie’s Angels fans were in for a little treat during this morning’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show when Drew Barrymore reunited with her former costar Lucy Liu, who stopped by to promote her new film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
The actress-turned-talk show host welcomed her friend of 23 years out onto the stage before naturally kneeling at her feet — something avid Drew fans have seen dozens of times before.
“What are you doing? This is so crazy,” Liu — who later said she felt as though she was getting proposed to — joked, to which Barrymore replied, “This is what I do, I’m weird. You know me.”
Barrymore went on to dish on the one particular keepsake from their time on Charlie’s Angels that she was doing a “mad scramble” to find. She said, “I was trying to find the nude photographs you took of me on the set of Charlie’s in my dressing room.”
Meanwhile, Liu told her longtime friend, “I have them,” before saying, “You look gorgeous [in the photos] as you still do. And you’re so natural and playful and having a great time.”
She added, “I have a series of portraits of so many people. With and without clothes on, guys.”
The duo later reminisced on their time filming the 2000 action comedy, which also starred Cameron Diaz. During a game of Behind-the-Scenes, Liu recalled the “pain” from training eight hours a day for five days a week, and said that the three ladies were “pretty badass.”
While Barrymore praised Liu for being “so dedicated,” she admitted that she and Diaz were “so naughty sometimes,” to which Liu quipped, “Why? She was so good! You weren’t. [Drew] was naughty.”
“It’s true. I’m just a naughty girl,” Barrymore doubled down.
