Matt Damon Continues Beef With Jimmy Kimmel, Calls Him a “Terrible Human Being”

Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon‘s hilarious beef lives on. While walking the carpet at the premiere of his new film Air, Damon didn’t miss out on the opportunity to take a jab at the comedian.

The actor was speaking to Entertainment Tonight when he was asked if he’ll ever make up with Kimmel, to which he bluntly replied, “No, no, he’s an asshole. Why would I ever do that?”

Damon continued, “He’s a terrible human being. He’s a demonstrably bad man,” before looking back to Kimmel and yelling, “Hey! I’d love to take a picture with you but we ran out of time.”

The comment was a clear reference to the joke that started it all back in 2005 when Kimmel closed out an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! by quipping, “I want to apologize to Matt Damon, we ran out of time.” The offhanded remark about the A-list actor became a recurring theme on the talk show, with the two going back and forth in their “feud” for nearly two decades now.

When it came time for Kimmel to speak to ET, he said, “You know, I don’t know who that was, but yeah, I heard him. He was loud.” He also claimed that Damon was the one dressed as cocaine bear at this year’s Oscars — something the actor has denied.

“Did he say he wasn’t the bear? He was the bear,” he said, before jokingly adding, “And totally full of cocaine.”

The comical banter comes weeks after the award show, which Kimmel hosted. During the event, he even poked fun at his longtime frenemy when he asked Jessica Chastain, “Was it difficult filming your movie The Martian because your co-star Matt Damon can’t read and smells like dog medicine?”

As for whether Kimmel will ever reconcile with Damon on his talk show, he told ET, “I just can’t imagine it happening. I really can’t. I think we have Ben [Affleck] on tomorrow, so we’ll have that, but that will be as close as we get.”

Damon and Affleck’s new film, Air, will premiere in theaters and on Prime Video April 5.
