Las Vegas — Nets resigned Kessler Edwards on Wednesday afternoon with a multi-year contract.
Edwardswill play in the Las Vegas Summer LeagueNets and will open at 7 pm against Milwaukee Bucks. Friday.
Nets has made Edwards a restricted free agent by extending a qualified offer. They temporarily withdrew the offer and temporarily made him an unlimited free agent, but he never stopped working to find a deal.
Currently, the 6'8 Wing is back in Brooklyn with a two-year contract, and Hoops Hype reports that it holds the team option for 2023-24.
Edwards won the 44th overall victory last year, surpassing the draft position as a rookie. He made 48 appearances, including 23 starts, showing his expectations as a 3D wing. The
Pepperdine product averaged 5.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 41/35/84 shoot splits in 20.6 minutes.

He also gave Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving a lot of talk with him before the match and gave him confidence. He said he had raised it, adding that he felt "probably never again."
It was unclear if he meant that he would never recreate the wonders of the rookie, or if he expected the disgruntled star to be traded.
After his second draft election, Edwards eventually won a two-way contract and played most of the season. However, as such a contract disqualified him from the playoffs, Nets broke up with James Johnson and converted Edwards' bidirectional contract to a standard contract shortly before the start of the postseason.
Nets has nominated Igor Kokoskov, Adam Kapoln, and Trevor Hendery as assistant coaches to conclude Steve Nash's staff. They will participate in the holdovers of Jacque Vaughn, Brian Keef, Tiago Splitter, Royal Ivy and Ryan Forehan Kelly.
Caporn is the head coach of Long Island Nets and coaches the Nets in the Summer League. Kokoskov was a former Phoenix Suns head coach.
