Queen Elizabeth II’s death at the age of 96 was prophesied centuries ago by French astrologist Nostradamus, according to a book that has been flying off shelves since her Sept. 8 death.

In 1555, the astrologer published “Les Propheties,” a hard-to-interpret book of poems called quatrains that supporters claim have foretold a myriad of disastrous events like the world wars and 9/11 attacks.

One of his quatrains predicted the exact age that the late monarch would die hundreds of years later, according to Mario Reading’s 2005 book “Nostradamus: The Complete Prophecies for the Future,” The Sunday Times reported.

“Queen Elizabeth II will die, circa 22, at the age of around 96,” the premonition reportedly read, according to the Nostradamus expert.

Sales of Reading’s book had exploded since Elizabeth passed away, according to the newspaper. More than 8,000 copies of the book were sold since Sept. 17, compared to only five copies sold the week before her death.

The resurgent book also alluded to the future of King Charles III, predicting that the former husband of Princess Diana will abdicate the throne, which will be then be held by their second son Prince Harry, who quit his royal duties and is now fifth in the line of succession.

“Because they disapproved of his divorce, a man who later they considered unworthy; The People will force out the King of the islands; A Man will replace who never expected to be king,” Nostradamus reportedly wrote, according to Reading’s interpretation.
