The benefits of Prime Membership

Amazon Prime membership comes with more benefits than you may expect. Most people associate Amazon Prime with free 2-day shipping on purchases from Amazon. Though in recent years the company has made their shipping even faster. Prime-eligible purchases now often qualify for free same day shipping, overnight shipping (with delivery in the early morning hours the following day), or one-day shipping.

However, fast and free shipping isn't the only perk you can get with an Amazon Prime membership. The membership also provides access to the Prime Video streaming library with tons of popular shows and movies free for Prime members. There are even some popular Amazon Originals like Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Ring, The Boys and The Wilds available to stream for Prime Members. You can also access Prime Music to stream songs from the service's large music catalogue.

Amazon Prime can also make grocery shopping easier. Prime members get free Amazon Fresh grocery delivery with purchases of $35 or more. You can also get special deals on groceries at Whole Foods and free curbside pickup at Whole Foods stores.

If you haven't been an Amazon Prime member in the last 12 months, you can sign up for a free trial. Amazon is currently offering 30-day free trials which will give you plenty of time to try out the service and take advantage of the Prime Early Access sale this month.

To sign up for the Amazon Prime free trial, your account must have a valid credit card on file. You can't sign up for a free trial with a checking account, Amazon gift card or pre-paid credit card.

To sign up for the Amazon Prime free trial, visit the Amazon Prime webpage. Then, click the button that says "Start your free 30-day trial". If you're not signed in, you will be prompted to log into your account before continuing. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your free-trial.

You should keep in mind that while you won't be charged for your free trial, Amazon does automatically convert your membership to a paid plan at the end of the trial period. If you want to cancel before you're charged, be sure to set a reminder to cancel before your renewal date. However, you'll probably end up wanting to keep your membership through the holiday season -- or at least until after Black Friday.
