Early Saturday, three masked bandits in the Bronx stole his bike, and the NYPD's off-duty assistant sergeant was shot in the leg. The police said.
The 23-year-old is a white Kawasaki in 2017 when he was surrounded by a trio of thieves masked on Independence Avenue between 27th and 239th West at around 4:30 am. I was riding a motorcycle.
During the robbery, an assistant officer was shot in his left foot. According to New York Police Department and police sources, the suspect snatched his bag and cell phone before taking off his ride and at least one other motorcycle.
The victim was taken to St. Burnabus Hospital by EMS with a non-life-threatening injury.
There were no arrests. Police did not provide an explanation for the suspect who fled in an unknown direction.
