A violent stabbing attack left one person dead and at least five others were injured in Las Vegas Thursday.
The attack began around 11:42 a.m. local time in the 31000 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, the city police said.
A suspect is in custody and the victims were brought to a local hospital.
One of the victims was declared dead, police said, and the extent of the other victims’ injuries remain unclear.
Officials have not provided more details but advised those in the area to avoid the scene.

The incident occurred right near the Wynn Las Vegas and the Resorts World Casino, both major resorts in the city.
