Photographer Renate Aller and hubby Hugh list $10M Soho penthouse

Financial advisor Hugh Aller and photographer Renate Aller have listed their downtown penthouse for $10 million.

The sprawling Soho spread at 33 Greene St. was once featured in Architectural Digest, and comes with three bedrooms and two baths.

At 3,600 square feet, the modern home, which stands inside a stunning cast-iron building dating to 1873, boasts a massive 1,800-square-foot terrace with striking city skyline views.

“There was something so special about the space, like it was carrying beautiful memories,” Renate told AD in 2019

Inside, the contemporary loft space features 14-foot-tall ceilings, 13 large windows, original columns and tin ceilings.

The residence opens to a large living room with a skylight and a mezzanine office/studio, and a walk-in bar.

There’s also a great room with a contemporary, eco-friendly woodburning fireplace, a dining space and an open chef’s kitchen.

The main bedroom comes with a walk-in closet and an ensuite spa-like bath that features an infrared sauna, while a library can do double duty as a guest suite.

Design details throughout include white oak floors and custom hinged white oak hardwood shutters. Outside, that landscaped, irrigated roof deck boasts a 200-square-foot pergola, multiple lounge areas and an outdoor kitchen with a dining table under an outdoor crystal chandelier.

The couple met in London and stayed in Mark Rothko’s former atelier at 222 Bowery, then used by painter Michael Goldberg, when they first came to New York, according to AD.

The building is anchored by fashion designer Acne Studios on the ground floor.

The listing brokers are Erin Boisson Aries and Nic Bottero of Douglas Elliman.
