This property was completed 70 years ago, in 1952. did. , And named after its first owner, Arthur Mathews,Dart reported. As listed, "a part of living history" has been sold only once since Matthew lived. In 1969, the couple, Dr. Harold Socks and Betty Porter Socks, purchased for $ 75,000. That's about $ 616,000 today.

Sure, it's not as big as Wright, but Betty was an innovator in her own right. After graduating from Stanford University with honors in 1946, she worked for Hewlett-Packard for 47 years, and according to Dart, she was the first to develop a corporate payroll system. She died earlier this year.

The house has two heritage instead of one. However, it lacks one of Wright's trademark features. It's a custom piece of furniture known for being designed to be combined with some of the luxury consignment homes. However, Asserton's sale includes vintage Danish modern furniture.
