Voted to approve Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Judge Neil Gorsuch of the Supreme Court The two senators claim that their constitutional right to abortion — they were misunderstood.
Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins and West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin reportedthat Gorsuch and Kavanaugh had a majority to eliminate the Roe v. Wade case. After supporting the vote, he said he felt betrayed.
"This decision contradicts what Judge Gorsuch and Judge Kavanaugh said in their testimony and the meeting with me," Collins said in a statement.
Collins criticized the ruling as "a sudden radical impact on the country would lead to political turmoil, anger, and further loss of confidence in our government."
Manchin said he was "extremely disappointed" with the judge's voting method.
"When I swore and testified that the Roe v. Wade case was settled, I trusted Judge Gorsuch and Judge Kavanaugh. The stability of the judgment they gave to two generations of Americans. I'm surprised that I chose to refuse, "Manchin said.
