Southern Charm, Decider spent one-on-one with both Leva Bonaparte and Naomi Olind. About this explosive moment. Here are some excerpts from interviews with each of them about this explosion.
Kathryn's Lever / NAOMIE FIGHT
Decided: Both you and Naomie seem to be approaching Kathryn's first invitation. .. Katsby ”It was a 30th birthday party as an olive branch, but it went south immediately, so to speak. Did it surprise you? Or did you feel something was brewed?

When I left, it was literally the most polite and nice conversation. And I didn't even know what happened. And Naomi blows away the storm. People are crying. And I was like "what". Very typical, but I don't know why I thought the night would be easy and fun. [Laughter]
As you know, Naomie pointed out that he was really wise in the conflict. She told Kathryn, "I don't like your way of fighting." Do you have that feeling about how Kathryn tackles the conflict?
Hmm, nod. I think that will be Kathryn's biggest problem. I think that's how she fights. She just does ... it just goes off the rails, and I actually tried to help her with it, you know, this year. When you guys end up seeing it, I really say, "Focus on your feelings. I don't like it very much, insults. More about what you're feeling. Reduce" Fuck you "and" Hey, I. NAOMIE OLINDO: So I was ... really surprised. Kasan has a pattern, so I should probably have seen that [battle] coming. And this is one of her patterns. So I should have known. And I knew that going was probably not the best idea. It didn't work very well for me. I didn't know how terrible it would be. But yeah, that is, these are the kind of things we know about Kathryn, so it was ... I was surprised, but not so surprised.

At the end of the episode, Kathryn wakes everything up on your grill. And you said something that I thought was really insightful, especially in the heat of the moment. You said to her, "I don't like your way of fighting." Can you elaborate a little on what that means?
Yeah. You remind me of my therapist. [Laughter] It's like "Tell me what you're feeling and thinking right now." [Laughter]
Well, this is something I didn't like about myself in the previous season. And I think everyone has seen how I fight Craig. And looking back ... it was really hard to look back. The show makes you very aware that you may not have noticed before. And I realized that I didn't like the way I fought. So I would tell him things here and there, and that wasn't true, but the message would be lost in delivery. So it is impossible to communicate with anyone. In other words, I remember that Kathryn was drinking a ton, and I was also drinking. And it's not the time or place to make this like a super-loud battle. And when people know they're wrong, I think they can do a kind of double down and become more aggressive. And that was happening, but it was escalating very quickly. yes.
She is also really physically fighting. So it's not a blow, but she's tall. She is physically imposing and she really likes to intimidate with her own height.
