Stars and friends pay tribute to Olivia Newton-John

Singer Rod Stewart recalled Newton-John as "a perfect woman, gorgeous, poised and with an Australian sophistication".

Several monuments and buildings across Australia were lit up pink to honor the star. According to WA Prime Minister Mark McGowan Western Australia Perth's Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge lit up.

Victorian Prime Minister Dan Her Andrews said Newton Her John "brought her music and film to the world, but to the Victorians she was so much more." said.

"Her generosity through the ONJ [Olivia Newton-John] Cancer Wellness and Research Center saved her life, and her advocacy gave hope to Victorians battling cancer." ''he wrote. 

This center is a research and treatment facility located in Victoria. Newton-John was first diagnosed with cancer in 1992. Her diagnosis came the same weekend her father died of cancer. She underwent a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction to treat it, and battled cancer several more times. It was to help cancer patients," he said.

"She found them very useful in her journey and wanted to make them accessible to everyone,"they wrote on Tuesday. 183} "Olivia was a driving force in my fight against cancer. She healed the whole person and took care of my mind, spirit and body. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet Olivia. Her kindness and brightness were irresistible.”
