Summary: Inmates to Roommates were eight generals who decided to house various inmates released from prison. of people are recorded. In each case, of course, there are friends and family around who voice their suspicions, and the introduction that plays clips from the season (and the "this season" clip package at the end of the episode) shows it. Tensions will arise from both the ex-convicts and those who opened their homes to them.
Highlighted in the first episode are church-going couple Mark and Shahna. Through the prison's letter service, Sharna befriends Bill, who is coming out of an extended 18-year stretch after her escape. She began writing to him when she was "having trouble with her marriage," and Mark seems to go along with it. She has 14 convictions and has been innocent for the past eight years, so she should know about these red flags. Mark is ready to set some very restrictive rules as a condition of Bill's stay.
Psychologist Dr. I have adopted a former patient, Dalcavion. He claims he's not a hoarder, but his house isn't. Robert is bringing in Aaron, who has served a stint on racketeering, and is his nurse's son. Robert's son Michael is completely skeptical. Artie is bringing Jovan, who she thinks "has a heart of gold". They got to know each other through a mutual friend. She did prison service in her 20s, so she knows what it's like.

Our Opinion: Like Adults Adopting Adults, Inmate To Rommate is less concerned with examining how well returning citizens have places to go and structures of life, and more concerned with conflicts and conflicts.
It is evident that each of the first four "roommates" expresses particular concern and anticipation about their lives and reservations about returning citizens. understand. I explained the issue with Mark and Sharna above, but Dr. Henry says I'm worried that DQ is too concerned with partying and being with women to keep his life on track. Turns out Artie is, as she puts it, "OCD about my bathroom" and it can extend to the rest of her house. A week later, I haven't heard from Aaron's mother.
Okay. This is a reality show, not a documentary. I'm not going to spend hours on this show watching these people get along and steadily improve the lives of those trying to get back on their feet.Will there be a happy ending? perhaps. But along the way, we see all the conflict, which is initiated by both sides.
We already know that Mark has made a long list of rules that can make Bill feel like he's never been out of jail and could conflict with Mark and Shana over it. I'm watching you There’s the usual chorus of questions and “What the hell are you thinking?” Coming from friends and family. Documents will be provided to Jovan at future attractions. These are the moments that A&E and the producers are counting on, but as always, it's about how returning citizens are struggling to rebuild their lives from prison and how these arrangements are going. Most pilot-ish line: The producers really rely on Mark and Shanna's religious backgrounds because Shanna drives to pick up Bill and Amy I know you're showing me singing "This Is My Father's World" by Grant. ' She's not singing along to the car stereo, by the way.
Our Call: Skip. If you're looking for pure real-life conflicts and dysfunction, you'll probably like Inmate to Roommate. I'm not asking for the show to be a boring documentary, but it would be nice if it was a little more balanced.
