On Monday, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Washington football coach who knelt down after the match and tried to pray on the field.
The court ruled 6-3 in line with the ideology that the prayers of former high school football coach Joe Kennedy are protected under the First Amendment.
"The Constitution and the best of our traditions advise mutual respect and tolerance, not censorship and oppression, on religious and non-religious views," Judge Neil Gorsuch said. Wrote in many opinions. The
decision is up to date from a court in favor of a religious plaintiff. The court ruled last week that Maine could not exclude religious schools from public programs that provide tuition assistance to private school students. This makes it easier for religious institutions to receive taxpayer money.
