‘The View’ Punctures “Clown” Marjorie Taylor Greene’s VP Hopes: “It Will Not Be Her”

While 2024 is still many months away, The View is certain of one thing in the upcoming election year: Marjorie Taylor Greene won’t be moving into the West Wing. The controversial congresswoman is said to be eyeing a future as vice president and has allegedly been included on Donald Trump‘s list of potential VP picks for his next presidential run, according to a report from NBC News.

But if you ask the women of the Hot Topics table, the “clown” politician won’t be anywhere close to the White House next year.

“It’s absurd, just to shut down that notion already,” Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked in the Trump administration, said of Greene’s alleged VP aspirations. “Trump is a lot of things. He’s not a moron in the sense that he gets political calculations.”

Sunny Hostin interrupted her to ask, “He’s not a moron?” and Griffin laughed, replying, “In this regard.”

She continued, “He knew he needed Mike Pence to get the evangelical vote. That was actually a very strategic move. It brought a lot of people who were uncomfortable with him along. Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn’t bring anything he doesn’t already have. Trump has crazy on lock himself. He doesn’t need Marjorie Taylor Greene.”

Griffin suspected Trump “will pick a woman” for VP, but proclaimed that Greene is out of the running.

“It will not be her. I think they’ll look at Nikki Haley — who I would much prefer see run on her own —
[or] Kristi Noem.”

But before Griffin could rattle off more names, Hostin jumped in again to ask, “Who would run with an insurrectionist, twice-impeached, disgraced former president?” before pointing to the “credible accusations of sexual assault” against Trump.

“Who would run with him and ruin their political future other than someone that is so greedy for power?”

Sara Haines then piped up with some cold, hard facts, further deflating Greene’s White House ambitions. Pointing out that the congresswoman “lost votes in her two different elections,” Haines told her co-hosts, “She couldn’t win statewide, so now you put her on a national stage … it does nothing.”

She added, “He’s the star of the clown car, not her.”

The View airs weekdays at 11/10c on ABC. Watch the full Greene segment from today’s episode in the video above.
