Sunny Hostin — Goop’s No. 1 customer — and the rest of the View co-hosts couldn’t help but laugh over Gwyneth Paltrow‘s headline-making trial, in which a retired doctor is suing her for allegedly crashing into him on a ski slope.
During the Hot Topics segment, Whoopi Goldberg pointed out that Paltrow — who is being sued for $300,000 — is countersuing for $1 after she claimed he was the one who crashed into her.
They then played a clip from the trial, which shows the man’s attorney seemingly “fan-girling” over the actress during her testimony when she asked how tall she was and if she had a “better ski outfit” than the rest of the skiers on the slope.
“I think that’s how I would use my time if I got to talk to Gwyneth Paltrow, even if I were the attorney,” Alyssa Farah Griffin joked. “I’d be like, ‘So tell me about your workout routine, your skincare.’ It’s so awkward.”
When Sara Haines asked why the judge didn’t step in, Hostin replied, “That judge has intervened a couple of times because it’s become such a clown show,” before noting that he originally “sued her for $3 million for crashing into her.”
She continued, “Why don’t they just want Gwyneth to be great? Like, I love Goop. I buy all sorts of things on Goop. Prebiotics. Probiotics. And then my tummy feels better.”
While Hostin noted that you “don’t have to” use the “vaginal egg,” she reiterated, “They don’t want her to be great.”
At the same time, Ana Navarro said she thinks the lawyer is “brilliant,” before revealing, “I haven’t laughed this hard since I saw My Cousin Vinny.“
