According to this student's social media posts, a transgender woman was rejected during the student recruitment process by all sororities at the University of Alabama .
Grant her Sykes wrote on her Instagram that she was denied admission to all sororities on campus. There are nearly 20 of her chapters on campus.
"Unfortunately, this chapter is over. This recruiting journey is over for me," Sykes wrote. “To be dropped from my last home during primary recruitment at the University of Alabama this morning is no surprise given the nearly 20 chapters. Dropped in a chapter."

Sykes is not the first transgender student to be rejected by Greek Life. Adam Davies was rejected from all 12 of his sororities at Northwestern University in 2017.
