Cipollone denounced the Special Counsel in his deposition to the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 Capitol riots. He said he was "strongly opposed".

Regarding Powell, who raised many allegations of election interference, including Venezuela's involvement, Cipollone said: Stated. Anything should be appointed.
