An upset father holding the handle of an excavator aimed at a Vermont police soldier when he tried to arrest his son. A dramatic dash footage released by state police on Thursday shows the incident on June 14.
In the video, two soldiers are trying to arrest their son. It was identified by WCAX as a 24-year-old Brandon Tollman nominated for assault and robbery. .. Tollman's mother seems to be blocking the arrest, her son refusing to let go and they handlock him Conflict with the officer when trying to call.
Meanwhile, his father grabbed the handle of an excavator parked on a private road and "threatened and tried to attack" a soldier at a construction facility. Said the state police.
Eventually, the soldiers were able to arrest all three without injury, state police said. WCAX has identified his mother as Amy Tollman and his father as Wayne Tollman.
"There is no scenario in the Academy for us to do this," said one of the state police commanders after the incident.
